Are full-time stock investors and traders happy even during a stock crash like in 2008?
WHY NOT! I’ve survived the Crash of 2008, though I was new to the markets and I was taking advisory calls! Markets treat you Fairly, If u treat the Markets Fairly.
You’ll loose your Shirt and Underwear, if you ever had to trade and make money Online without Knowledge of Risk Management!
- I’d no idea of Trading, but wanted to Make Money, and Really Fast.
- I still remember my first trade was with India Infoline broker 5paisa, which is the worst and will be like that!
- My first trade was on 7th Feb 2008. Infosys, Buy sell Buy Sell for 1 rs profit. My Profit at the end of the day was -1860. Why, my brokerage was atrocious and my profits were not even near the brokerage 🙂 Broker mentioned my traded amount is 1.6 crore with leverage with an investment of Rs. 70,000 in the account!
- Next 3 – 4 days more, I lost the whole of first pay in of Rs. 70,000.
- I induced another Rs.50,000 more.
- When the market started falling I’d no idea why it was falling. God’s grace, I was in a Sell on Aban Offshore, which was at Rs.1,660 at that time.
- I thought I made heck lot money and sold it. I’d made Rs.36,000 in one day.
- Later I realized I could’ve made Rs. 391000, if I’d retained it for 3 more days.
- Since I’d no idea about the Market crash, I bought OFSL (Oracle Financial Services Software Limited) and lost Rs. 29,777.
- That was the end and I stopped trading for the whole year.
- In 2009, Every now and then, I used to trade and lost money.
- By the May of 2009, I’d lost Rs. 5,97,000.
- I’d no idea, I’d that much money!
- After this, I learnt Risk Management by Investopedia, other means of courses with an investment of Rs. 1,38,000.
- In 2013 I forayed into full Time Trading and on a regular basis, make 100 – 300% per month ONLY IN NIFTY OPTIONS!
- In 2017, My Main Source of Income in India is Trading with me being in 30% bracket.
There are not Full Time Investors. Only Full Time Traders other than financial institutions.
So are Traders happy, If they are informed traders and know to cash in, they’ll make more Money During the Fall 🙂
